My name is Beni. I’m a Swiss painter simply trying to understand the world a little better by placing colors somewhere. My work grows out of what surrounds us, a passing light, a lingering shadow, a fragment of street that tells more than it seems. I observe, I try to capture, and sometimes a canvas emerges.

I’m sensitive to contrasts, to the way nature and the city coexist, almost in spite of themselves. Worn walls, colors that endure, signs we think we recognize: all of it eventually finds its way into my work. A drip is just a word that slips, a texture a sentence that hesitates. It’s an imperfect language, but I hope it remains open enough for everyone to find their own meaning.

To create is to share a way of seeing, without imposing my own.

LAST PAINTING

'Chaos'

A gentle tension between chaos and order runs through the canvas, where signs rise like vivid pulses.
Each symbol becomes a breath.
A thought suspended in a movement that overflows. One reads in it the brilliance of disorder, the beauty of vertigo and that instinctive need to slip out of the lines.

RAW

I am not looking for easy beauty, nor the caress of colors. Each stain, each scratch tells a story of what I am in that moment, rough, fragile, alive.

Rawness is not violence, it's life; what you see is what you feel.

URBAN

The city speaks, and I listen to it, tags, tired walls, faded colors… every street corner tells a story that I don’t invent, I steal a little bit of it.

What I paint are fragments of anonymous lives, poems left by chance on the asphalt.

SENSITIVE

Beneath the concrete, there are beating hearts.
Even in the chaos, I try to slip in a little bit of gentleness.

Because man is fragile, and painting is perhaps the only place where we can say that without fear.
